IMAGINED MOMENTS FROM THE PORCH
It was a bewildering, absurd world I found myself in during the first chaotic months of the Covid-19 outbreak. Through invented juxtapositions, metaphor and a bit of whimsy, these photo composites of my neighbors in front of my house portray the surreal, confused and off-kilter feeling I had then, and which still lingers today.
THE CHANGE AGENTS
As a long time client of a busy downtown New York hair salon, I photographed the colorful stylists in their homes, making portraits that depict their unique personas and funky charm.
IN A BLINK
“In a Blink” pairs early portraits of my teenage children and their peers with portraits of the same subjects a decade later.
Zooming out from a single moment to a decade-long span, I muse on the echoes that resonate through our lives.
ROUND TRIP
A dream-like view from the train window as I ride back and forth between the suburbs and New York City, and wonder about the passages we make across time and space.
FLORA WHISPERS
Plants, our fellow inhabitants here on Earth, have a mesmerizing beauty and allure. Seduced by the mystery of these life forms, I move closer and closer, wishing to unlock their secrets.
